" 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them.
And he as committed to us the message of reconciliation.
20 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us."
2 Corinthians 5:17-20

Domestic & International Missions
At Trinity, we believe the Gospel is not just a message to be proclaimed from afar but also a message that must be lived out wherever Christ followers live and work - actively and practically caring for people’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

We believe "Living Sent" looks like:
- Church planting and leadership development – This may include training leaders, pastors, and church planters who can carry on the work long after missional workers have gone. This ensures a more sustainable, self-sufficient church that can meet the spiritual and practical needs of their communities.
- Community development – This may include building schools, offering medical care, providing clean water, or supporting local economies through micro-loans or vocational training. By addressing these basic needs, those who live sent help foster environments where people can thrive, while also opening doors for sharing the Gospel in more holistic ways.
- Urban revitalization – Living sent city areas, where people may be spiritually hungry but disconnected from traditional church settings, might focus on initiatives such as revitalizing neighborhoods, starting community centers, or offering youth outreach programs.
- Cross-cultural understanding and reconciliation – Today, there is also a growing emphasis on bridging cultural (and other) gaps, fostering understanding between different ethnic, racial, and social groups. This often involves addressing issues of justice, peace, and reconciliation in ways that promote the message of God's love and the Gospel’s transformative power in broken communities.

Trinity's International Missions Connections
Good News Kenya
Holly and Fred Okoth
In 2006, Holly, who was Trinity's Youth Director at the time, visited the Good News Community Centre (GNCC) in Kenya during a Youth With a Mission (YWAM) outreach. While there, she met GNCC founders James and Vangie Odongo, who were passionate about transforming Kenyan communities through practical and spiritual methods of evangelism and discipleship in Christ. Inspired by their vision, Holly developed a similar passion. After several mission trips to the area, she moved to Kenya in 2012 and married Pastor Fred Okoth, a pastor at GNCC.
In 2018, Holly and Fred established Good News Kenya in the United States to support the ministries of GNCC. The organization focuses on three key areas: discipleship, education, and child sponsorship. Holly and Fred collaborate with a dedicated Kenyan team that is committed to knowing Christ and sharing His message in their community.
Pastor Fred pastors a church and works with a team to disciple believers. Holly oversees the sponsorship program, which helps ease the financial burden of school fees for vulnerable children in Kenya. Together, they have been leading Good News Migwena Academy since its opening in 2020, providing affordable, Christian-based education to a rural village in Kenya.
Some of our Trinity members were able to enjoy a trip to Kenya to support this important ministry.
